Learning to drive is an important step for anyone. One of the first steps is deciding on traditional lessons or an intensive driving course. Intensive courses aim to get you behind the wheel and passing your test within a week. This course of action is not for everybody, but for some is hugely beneficial. Here are some questions you can ask to find out if it is right for you:
1. How soon do I need my licence?
One of the main reasons people choose an intensive course is time. If you need to get your licence quickly, then this could be ideal. Of course you’ll also need to ask yourself if you are able to take a week out to focus entirely on driving. If you don’t need your licence in a hurry then you may still consider an intensive course. Alternatively, you may prefer to take it slower with weekly lessons.
2. Can I afford an intensive driving course?
Intensive driving courses are great value for money. You may, however, still need to consider if you can afford the course. With weekly lessons you may find it easier to spread out your payments. If you have the money though, you may find committing to a week’s worth of lessons is the best way to go.
3. Are you capable?
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to learning something new. For many, an intensive driving course is a perfect way to keep focused on impending goals. For some, this type of learning causes increased pressure and stress. If you think this course will be too intense for you, then it might not be worth it. It’s entirely up to you to decide what you’re capable of.
