There are three main licence categories you will need in order to become a lorry driver in the UK:
-Category C licence: This is also known as a Class 2 licence, and allows you to drive rigidbody lorries with a maximum weight of 26,000kg.
-Category C+E licence: This is also known as a Class 1 licence, and allows you to drive articulated lorries with a maximum weight of 44,000kg.
-Category D licence: This is also known as a Class 3 licence, and allows you to drive drawbar lorries with a maximum weight of 32,000kg.
